Governor's Cafe - Mount Alexander

Warm and cozy environment. friendly, helpful staff. the vegan wet mix chai was beautiful. the 2 vegan menu options, potato or cauliflower were fried pieces only. the carrots were a good price at $12 but $22 for the flower cabbage, it was not worth it. at least I thought it needed gurke and tomato. it needed something sauky, health. more colour and taste. it was served with a hard piece of bread that didn't work me. it was too fritted and more like sharing a gutter than a meal.

Enjoy our experience in the abb. service was error-free. they were strict according to Covid requirements and were quite full when we arrived after density limit and all workers with masks. the options were interesting on the menu, and I noticed that some of the specials were also vegan. my baked cauliflower on sourdough was tasty, served with a creamy sauce and avocado. Although a larger portion size would have been estimated for $18. great service, great food. I would go back to try the salads that looked nice.

There were two vegan options on the menu (the whole menu was less than 10 dishes) and the kitchen was happy to change other dishes. coffee was good, service was nice and the caffe itself was nice, especially the backyard.

Vegan options here are always wonderful, and they must always have a second coffee. beautiful people who produce beautiful vegan options, thanks!

Ate here in January 2019. Food options for vegans very limited to be honest but I managed a salad and some wholegrain bread.
