La Mex - Morris

Super delicious Mexican cuisine in an authentic atmosphere. Part of the atmosphere is dim, yellowish lighting. It makes it hard to see your food. I think honestly, the lighting has removed from some of the taste. Terrace for dinner outside.

This place was found while on Saturday night Auto Show Morris has downtown. Great food, staff and decor. Outside deck for food was large and covered. Would recommend if you were in town.

Started with an endless supply of corn chips and salsa. Refried beans were available for request. General portions of good delicious food with an order gluten-free. Good service and friendly staff. Older buildings and the outside could use a coat of color, but not distract from the fine meal. Fair and competitive prices. No upscale restaurant, but clean.

They wanted to explore Dowtown Morris and choose LaMex. This is a step above your average Mexican restaurant. Pros Chicken taco was excellent, all white meat crushed in large pieces. Excellent taste. I also ordered Steak Taco and beef Taco to explore the menu and all 3 meats were suburbs! Will order again. Monday has Taco plate on special $11,95 (3 tacos with rice beans). Excellent deal in town, for quality. Chips red sauce freshly delicious. Guacamole is best in town! Cons-house margarita $10 small, medium is $20 for house tequila. (Tues Thursday offers half-price pitcher). Refried beans lack taste, will skip next time. Fried ice cream was average $5.95. A total of 5* little expensive, but it for high quality products. Service was friendly fast. Will return.
