Bidrage med feedbackFriendly, welcoming atmosphere with fresh, light Latin food. <br/ <br/ The main attraction here is the owner this restaurant has been her dream for a long time and it shows in her hands on approach. The produce quality and preparation is excellent, but for me it tailors a bit too much to the western palate. In other words, I wanted more complex chilli flavours and heat in the dishes we tried.<br/ <br/ To be fair, we ate here opening week, so I hope the food evolves with its customers. Definitely a new local business to support.
Really friendly and warm environment. The food was greAt and excellent margaritas. Recommended.<br/
A return visit for some of our party and we all had a great experience! Lovely and attentive waitstaff, fresh and flavourful food, and fun decor.
La Onda is one of the new generation cafes on the Peninsula, an area that’s been in need of better food choices. We had a leisurely lunch here and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We sampled a range of Latin mex standards and liked them all. We started with chips and spicy salsa, chicken quesadilla, beef tacos, pork ribs, maya salad, papas fritas (roast potato), churros and fair trade coffee by common folk. Everything was done very well. Service was terrific too, friendly and nicely efficient. At around $40 plus a head without alcohol La Onda is not a cheap option but it’s still one that’s well worth pursuing.
This place is incredible! Great vibe, delicious food and margaritas and super friendly and attentive service. The woman who owns the place was an absolute delight — so warm and personable. Overall just a great experience. We’ll be back weekly!
