Blackie's Grill - Moriarty

The previous review is utterly wrong. No restaurant in New Mexico permits smoking. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere isn’t like that at all. I visit frequently, and it’s a great place. I encourage everyone to try it!

My husband, who is Black, and his white driver stopped by this restaurant. The waitress took the order from the white driver first, and when my husband ordered hot wings, she implied that they were already cooking it, suggesting that she assumed all Black people eat chicken. My husband also smokes cigarettes and asked if there was a designated area for smoking. The waitress told him he couldn't smoke inside, so they went outside. When they returned, he noticed that the table next to them was smoking. A kind white lady, who had overheard the entire conversation, offered my husband a lighter and said, "Please smoke on me." I felt the need to share this experience and will be leaving reviews on every site I can.

I love his kitchen. The Best
