La Guinguette du Vieux Chene

We hadn't booked a table, but we could still sit at a busy Tuesday dinner. Menus were practiced quickly, but no beverage order was asked for drinks when the waitress returned to our food order. Mojitos needed a better mix because... everything I got on my first swallow was a straw sugar. The food when it came was delicious,best salad de rocamadour ive had in a long time) but there was absolutely no heat interactions of either waitress not to see whether everything was okay, no offering of sauce spices not even salt for the very good chips). And smile! There is only 1 toilet for what is a powerful restaurant next to the Dordogne. The toilet was clean and looked that recently very nicely decorated BUT a dirty 'Tea towel' was suspended on a hook in the room and a large toilet roll was moist on the surface around the sink. Not cheap at 56€ for lunch for 2 partly because of the disappointing mojitos. Questions were all right, as the bill is paid, is a little late.

This restaurant works clearly on the basis that you never visit as a foreign visitor again. In view of the staff are friendly and helpful, but are warned, it is just a cover over a fee. My wife and I ordered both... a so-called “big salad” for lunch that we discovered when paying the bill, carries a supplement of 4 euros to the small salad on the menu (Euro9.50) total we have paid Euro 13.50 per very little. For this price, the so-called “big salad did not include meat or cheese, but a small amount of feed-fruit spread over a piece of bread, a few salad leaves two very thin slices of tomatoes, a small piece of gurke and melon, together with a cup of hearty sorbet plus two halves of a strawberry, we had to request the lenses that should come as part of the salad. The bread basket we were given consisted entirely of the end of the bread. In addition, we were charged Euros12 for two glasses of very common rose wine. Overall we paid Euro39 ouch!!! I'm sorry, but it's worth warning despite the situation.

This is a simple restaurant at a beach on the Dordogne. The view on the river is nice and there is a large field for sunbathing. The food was tasty, did not disappoint, and were good for the lunch. Portions were exactly right. The price...is alright.

Nothing fancy nor exquisite, a snack bar but fair and on the river for a quick lunch. the kids have plenty of room to play.

Cadre très agréable !!!mais à part ca.... menu unique hors de prix ,une attente de dingue,fallait réclamer les choses 3 fois pour les avoirs!!!!tres déçu de la prestation et des prix!!!en revanche juste les moules étaient bonnes!!!
