John's Drive-in - MONTAUK

The name threw me off. It's walk in not drive in. Line was out the door so didn't bother. Food looked good, maybe I'll try again next time I'm around. Wish I could of just stayed in my car like the name suggested.

Tasted like a frozen fish stick. Waited 30 minutes. SO disappointed.

I originally enjoyed the burgers here... the convenience ? But, I 've slowly grown tired of the dry food and the wait for small items. I pre-ordered, pre-payed, and then waited and waited and waited... while they checked out a bunch of white people ? I mean really really really don 't understand; I tried to love them, now I just like 'em. So I won 't take the 15 mins ride to Montauk anymore ? Won 't spend $30 on 3 hamburgers.... won 't experience the closest thing to fast-food out on the East End. The taste isn 't anything to write home about... burgers are okay. Disappointed to lose one.

I’m reviewing strictly off of dessert as I’ve never had a meal here, but this spot has been a staple for Montauk for decades. There’s usually a wait but it moves quick, and there’s typically some sort of seating outside. Amazing place for a scoop or two of ice cream!! Try the banana Oreo, it’s amazing!

Wish they took credit cards. Expensive but the only thing in town.
