I ordered sushi that was sloppy, rolled and chopped like for an animal to eat. Disappointment doesn’t even describe my experience. The lack of care and effort that was put into the preparation of my food was obvious. It tasted very fishy and not fresh. Never again.

HORRIBLE. Went here for a last minute dinner on New Year’s Day. Worst dine in experience of my life. The staff made us both so uncomfortable. The moment we sat down the waitress tossed our menus on the table. We were being rushed and the waitress stood there and stared while we were deciding what to eat. Everyone seemed rather unfriendly and it was very obvious that none of the staff wanted to be there. I also really expected the food to be better for how much it costed. My California roll was $12 for 6 pieces and had a fishy taste. Shrimp tempura roll was literally just fried shrimp wrapped in rice, no cucumber or anything. A glass of lemonade was $9 and tasted like sugar and water, plus was mostly filled with ice. Overall super disappointing and will not be coming back here. Save your money and get ShopRite sushi.
I've been dining with KYO for as long as I can remember, i always knew going in that the service is not what you expect to get in a steakhouse, the decor is quite dated, but i was okay with it, so i didn't expect anything crazy fancy. The food was always fresh and tasty, and I never had any complaints.This time, it was different and very disappointing ?.The staff was rude, 3 servers kept on rotating and asking the same questions over and over with no coordination amongst themselves and the kitchen. They sounded annoyed that we asked about certain items on the menu and just unpleasant...This time, the food wasn't they way it used to be either. We ordered a hanger steak, which is supposed to be nice and soft, but it was cold and chewy instead. Like they used a mock-hanger or just not prime beef..Honestly, i didn't dare complain because i was scared of their reaction ?...I feel like this place has lots of potential if it was run right. It can use an upgrade in interior design and customer service for sure.P.S. sorry KYO staff for this honest review, but you can do better. You have done better in the past, so i know you can if you want to?. A small investment can bring you a huge return! Im convinced!
