Toro Nero Pizza Cafe Co - MONA VALE

Have now had 2 takeaway nights since the last dine in and both times have been very disappointing. The pizzas have next to no toppings and are basically just sauce. I will probably give it one last chance.

This pizza place is fantastic the food the service all outstanding. The pasta is beautiful and portions are big. It's great for families or friends small parties or big all catered for perfectly. The food served to kids is done wonderfully.

Lots of different pizzas on the menu along with other Italian fare. Good for couples, family or groups

YumBest pizza I have had on the Northern Beaches. In fact, best pizza I have had in several years! Nice traditional crust, good quality toppings and flavoursome herbs used.BYO is great too. And service really friendly. On the downside, the restaurant was so NOISY. Specifically went early to avoid the rush and noise. But between excessively loud music and kids yelling and screaming on next table, I could not even hear what my friend was saying (who was sitting next to me). I can only imagine what it would have been like later, when really busy. I shudder at the thought. Several customers had to ask the waiter to turn the music down. Asked him more than once too. It was like being in a disco in a childcare centre. The other issue was the waiter reeked of strong aftershave and deodorant and cigarette smoke I think was underlying. I could barely breathe. Almost had an allergic reaction to the aftershave smell. Anyway the pizzas were great. But due to the excessive aftershave and very loud music, we gobbled down our pizzas and had left within the hour. With headaches.Yes very happy to have their pizzas again........ But next time I will get a takeaway.

Visited tonight and ordered 6 pizzas- all fantastic, but the stand out was the $10 chicken nuggets and chips on kids menu. Usually that selection in any restaurant is unappetising but at Nero it is beautifully cooked and presented with salads on a long wooden board - 5 star. Good to see a place that recognises kids have good taste and appreciate food presentation even if they have ordered nuggets ! Excellent cafe, 100% recommend.
