Bidrage med feedbackFirst and foremost, having been it Italy numerous times, I have been to alot of restaurants (to say the least). But never in my months in Italy have I ever experienced a restaurant like this one. The view is one of the most amazing scenes in all of the country side of Italy. You can see the hillside town of Saint George, and the setting is almost too perfect to be true. The owner, waiters, and cooks were not only one of the most personal people in the town, but also the most genuine. When you cook comes out to ask you how your meal was that he just freshly prepared, you know this place is doing it right. The food was out of this world with remarkable prices. In no way shape of form could you get a meal like this in Rome unless you spend over 400 hundred dollars. The fresh ingredients were immediately recognizable, and this is true Italian cooking in the very essence of the Italian spirit. If this restaurant was in NYC or the US for that matter, it would put all other Italian restaurants to shame (I wish I was exaggerating). I only hope that the travel channel can find this place because it is one of the best kept secrets in southern Italy. And may I say again that the food is out of this world. Not one thing on the menu was bad and the selection was endless. I recommend the pizza, antipasta, and calzones. And you must, must, try the house special for pasta and pizza. All together Luca, the owner, knows what he is doing, and I cannot begin to explain how nice and pleasant of a host, and human being for that matter, he is. Please for the sake of your wallet and pallet, try this place or you will regret it. And by the way it is located in an ancient medieval castle which is being completely restored. The restaurant is located on a downward slopping garden that has the best view in the entire town. Best food I have ever eaten in any country in my entire life.
Luca Tiziana gave us a wonderful a dining experience to remember. We started with some champagne in the restaurant's lovely outdoor garden, then moved to the quaint interior to have some amazing food. Rather than ordering off a menu, Luca brought tastes of Italy to our table. These appetizer like plates were amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant located in Molinara Italy.
Our party arrived at La Vigna della Corte and were welcomed by the owner Luca. The family is well loved in Molinara and it's easy to see why. It was a beautiful warm evening and with a beautiful view of the mountains and valleys, we choose to eat on the lovely garden terrace. Luca showed us the menu, but we asked him to feed us as he liked. What a feast we had. The wonderful wine, appetizers, three pasta courses and dessert each one better than the last. Luca's mother came over to make sure we were happy and to make us feel welcome. We returned a couple of days later to try the pizza and we were not disappointed. Fantastic restaurant and superb service.
Luca and Tiziana saw our group walking from afar, came over and asked if we'd like to eat. They opened their restaurant ahead of schedule and served us a fabulous meal at quite a reasonable cost. They were gracious hosts, and their terrace offered wonderful views across the valley as we sipped wine in the warm sunshine. I highly recommend Luca's place for anyone wanting authentic food and friendly atmosphere.
There were 12 relatives travelling to Italy to visit Molinara, Naples, Capri, Sorrento, Rome and Florence. We ate at LaVigna Della Corte on day and found it to be the most beautiful and delicious meal bar none. The owner was very gracious opening his restaurant early so these Americans could eat. The view is something to die for! If we go back to Molinara, we would definitely go to LaVigna Della Corte. Thanks, Luca. Lucy Cirocco Gavin [hidden email]
