El Canelo Mexican - Missouri

We came here on a whim when we were in the area and I'm so glad we did! I got an enchilada sampler — all delicious, especially the salsa verde and the steak enchilada. As for others in my party, the quesadilla was covered in cheese sauce, the tamale was flavorful, and the flautas were nice and crispy! Overall a definite repeat.

It was fine. Had the shrimp and the vegetable fajitas. Both were basically a ton of onions cooked in a crapload of butter and with a few other things sprinkled in quite sparingly. The salsa was decent though the chips were the super thick kind which isn't my preference. With all the Mexican places in town to choose this one didn't stand apart for us.

Spacious interior, complimentary chips and spectacular salsa. Enjoyed a beef and chicken Taco Suprema. Housemade margaritas were flavorful, but needed a splash more of tequila. Would definitely return.

The service was excellent, we were checked on several times throughout the meal and never rushed. The menu is very extensive. Great spot for when everyone wants something different. My date and I both got burritos, which were delicious! I got the carne asada and he got the el canelo, would definitely order them again. Very rude and unprofessional they ruined my order twice and then tried to tell me I was gonna take it anyway and then walked off with an attitude rolling their eyes and sighing!!! When I finally did receive the food it was very below average they just slapped some rotisserie on the chicken taco. I wish they had an option for no stars don't waste your time or money!!!!!!
