Popolo - Mineral Point

As you can see by a previous post or two the owner of this place has an attitude and is quick to tell you that they do not seat large parties. This place will seat small parties of people so do not go here if you have more than six and probably should be less that this. We had good experience here more than seven years ago very good but this is no longer the case, There is a new owner in the last seven years. Also noted is wait times for food in other reviews and it did take quit some time to even have someone finally greet us while standing and waiting for service or to be seated. Granted there was a special event in town and the understaffed (admitted by owner) place was busy and we will give them that. But don't start off with an attitude when you are explaining why you won't seat more than six and even when you ask to be split up you still get an attitude. Given that pur family of 13 was turned away, I guess 1 star is rather generous. We were visiting the area and made a special trip to Mineral Point from Madison, just to eat at Popolo Pizzaeria (during the 3 hr window it would be open ‍ only to be told that they couldn 't seat us because we would overwhelm the kitchen. Mind you the restaurant was COMPLETELY EMPTY and we offered to sit at separate tables and made it clear we weren 't in a rush. However, none of that mattered and we were asked to leave. So insane, sad and disappointing. If you don 't want to work just say that...

The owner, Wendy. Was rude to my mother, my son, and I. Also, they gave us 2 tinfoils and no box for our leftovers. Of a 3 course meal. It didn't even fit. She demanded extra money bc we were dining in to get boxes. Said that in front of other customers I knew.
