Bidrage med feedbackThis experience went from bad to worse. First, I was given a glass of water and the glass was disgustingly filthy and had lipstick all over it. When I asked for a new glass the waitress gave me attitude and then brought me a plastic cup of water. I wish I was kidding. Then I ordered the crispy chicken salad but the chicken on top was some kind of over processed chicken by product that was so gross I couldn’t eat it. I also had to ask three different people for honey for my tea. The first two looked at me like I had two heads and just walked away. And as I sat at the counter I was looking around the restaurant and it was so dirty I was shocked. I wanted to get up and leave but I had already ordered. And lastly, the wait staff, instead of maybe taking care of their customers or perhaps even cleaning up a bit, all stand around talking in front of the kitchen door. It’s too bad cuz it could be a really cute place if they made some improvements.

9.16.22 When I hear Diner, I imagine and imagine old, blunt place that needs a facelift. This place from outside looked old. And the interior is a typical diner feeling. But let me tell you. Service and food is amazing. The bacon was perfectly cooked, crisp. My overmediun eggs were actually cooked correctly (not many master this). The rye bread was fresh with seeds. Yum. The coffee was hot and strong. I'm a foodie. I love new locations and I am usually one-and-done. But this place is a must.
One of my favorite stops along my favorite tristate motorcycle rides, the Oakhurst Diner never disappointed. An eclectic menu including generous use of Jalapenos, Avacado, kale, Cilantro, Pinto Back Beans, brown rice, Edamame and much more. A Duoughly Modern Take on a Diner, Oakhurst takes classics such as eggs Benedict, meat loaf, chili and wings and makes them thier own and offers new and unique dishes that delight your taste buds. From her sandwich and a side menu, one of my personal favorites, the tasteful, protein-rich Patty Melt. A 1/4 lb juicy beef, cheese, grilled onions, mustard and oakhurst's twist in Russian dressing between two slices of rye bread grilled to brown perfection. Burned with taste and melted quality, you will not be disappointed with Oakhurst's spin on an American Classic! Oh yes, the side choices include: sweet potato or regular fries, potatoes, perpetrator, Kimchi or my choice, a mixed green salad. Great food and service, a really diverse menu with something for everyone, paired with al fresco restaurants and reasonable prices, what is not to love? Give them a try, but remember, they are only open Thursday to Monday!!
