Café Zermatt - Midway

I'll give these 5 stars for CONNIE. She rocked the house, made things happen and was super attentive. I felt very important and she made me feel that way. She also looks like a young Julie Andrews. Lol Now, if it wasn't for Connie, we'd be at 4* the food wasn't bad, but you know us Americans, we love our big portions. But I enjoy everything. The potatoes I was really excited about, but they weren't as spicy or as much as I want. Connie, you're great.

For how beautiful the resort I was honest was really surprised about the lack of glamour service and quality of food. The breadsticks were bland and pizza was just a slight improvement. When I saw that they had a bar, I asked if I could get a beer and were told they had no bartender for the night. Who doesn't have a bartender during dinner? Of course I was quite disappointed.

Today's portions. We were here 5-6 times and we know the portions are big enough to share. Today's meal left something to be desired. It was about half of what we usually get for the same price. 3 stars because the food is good and they did the best they had with him so busy for the holiday.

This has just turned into a pizza place and they basically only serve pizza. You can not forget the previous menu! Do not give so many stars because of extremely long waiting times. It wasn't even so crowded when we arrived and when we got our food, more than an hour had passed. Several people came after us who got food before us and some of them were even until the time we got our food. We've been waiting for someone to take our order, bring us food and bring the check. Finally, we went to the front area to pay because this process had arrived about 2 hours from us and had only eaten a pizza. We didn't feel like a priority and no one checked for us when we waited and waited. It was too long to wait, especially as there were only a few other customers there. The pizza was ok- I enjoyed the crust and unique pizza options. But I don't think it was so incredible. I'm not sure I would recommend people now. A bit disappointed, especially where we loved what was previously Wildfire Smokehaus, along with its menu and service. I miss the ribs, wings, meat and all the food they once had here!

This was a delightful find for lunch. The ribs were meaty and done to perfection. The pulled pork was chunky and nicely spiced. The side bean dish was spicy and savory. The sauces were excellent. They don't exactly have a wait staff, but the young lady at the front was helpful and served us promptly. We also had the amber beer, which was perfect.
