Komodo - Miami

This is the second time dining at Komodo as a party of 2. Both times, we have been stuck in a corner in an undesirable location.

Server made some great suggestions the food was amazing and the desert was absolutely delicious

All dinns we had in Brickell were amazing but Komodo was The Best! Yummy corn ribs, shishito peppers, Korean fried chicken, fried rice and superb cocktails...big surprise was dessert Japanese cheesecake..outstanding! Lively restaurant too!

Our waiter was really nice, He was the best part of the evening. Despite that, my experience at komodo was nothing but easily forgetable. I arrived 10:57 pm for a reservation at 11pm, the manager was rude, 1st told me that everyone there was on the line (the local was full of people, waiting to seat. 2nd told to my friend that we arent special, because they have people waiting for a reservation since 10pm. After my 3rd complaining, the maintress understood that I wanst joking, and I wanted my table at the time I marked. Took me 30 minutes to get a table, that I made the reservation, and I basically have to beg for something that I marked. The food was ok, nothing really diferente for any asian restaurant that u find in Miami. If u wanna go to some place that they respect the customer, your time, money and your appoitment, its better went to Zuma.

I went for my birthday and they were behind with the reservation. I arrived 15 min early as they requested and they make me wait almost 1 hour for a total of 1 hour and 15 min waiting. The front lady ask to wait on the Bar but it was full of people and very uncomfortable because they don’t sent a text or a device to alert that the table is ready. The process is wait in the Bar that was full already(no other way to go) because the host look the people I’m guessing because of the description from the front desk. The music very loud, instead of a restaurant that place looks like a miami night club. I will not recommend this place for a birthday party with the family. Unless you are looking for a nightclub with food. The food was really good, I can’t complaint but for the waiting, the loud music and the delay was not worth the huge amount of money we pay.
