Since posting (and having already waited 2 months for an email reply) the hotel has responded with various untruths that are not worth responding to, but suffice to say the tone of their response tells you what you will get in this hotel Original review: Dissapointed with the rooms we paid for a Superior room, when it transpires they're just way more expensive than the standard, but just the same. We had to move to a standard, because the website had incorrect descriptions of the number of beds in the family rooms. The hotel has ignored all our emails for a refund of the price difference. Staff/owner at reception was quite snooty and rude. Breakfast pretty mundane. Overall overpriced.

A beautiful spot to stop for a quiet, civilised lunch. Lovely location beside a lake with pretty terrace and gardens. A good place to stay, too. Exceptional service. Good food. Recommended.

The hotel was very nice to stay in and it had very good facilities. The location is great as it was right next to a lake. However the staff were not very pleasant and the resultant wasn't open every night. This was a bit of a problem as there is really nowhere else to go to eat that is close. As a vegetarian I really struggled here as there was not a main course option.

Site was nice next to the water, staff all seemed nice. Room was a bit of a let down, it smelt a bit musty and was in need of a refresh .

Really nice restaurant facing the lake. We stayed at the wooden cabane and that was really special. Highly recommended. They even serve the breakfast at the wooden cabane in the tree! :
