Short Stop Poboys - Metairie

Customers weren't eccentric that you bought something when you've never been there. We're a big family and we were so excited to come there because we heard so much of it.... and when I asked what's coming in, her attitude changed... every time my children asked a question, she was irritated and started to hurry. We have 11 different Poboys... and damn... I'll never get anything to the taste of this good again if I don't come back every year. Wow. My kids, the first thing to get up is this lady when we were over your store. Great work at the food!!! No wonder why people all over the country talk about you.

This place is always packed. I never had a bad sandwich from here. My last sandwich was a simple French fry poboy with roasted beef debris and Creole mustard very delicious!

Classic local pony shop. Focused on good food. It was our first stop on our weekend trip to NOLA and we were not disappointed.

Roast beef is where it’s at! Got mine dress with mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato. Roast beef is shredded and tender. Has a nice seasoning flavor to it. I got the regular 9”, they have a 14” available also. They also had the famous lemon Hubigs pie at the counter! Drinks are canned or bottles. Soda and water.

Best roast beef poboy and good red beans and gumbo. None of the fan fare of some of the more popular poboy shops, but probly the best. Been eating here for more than 30 years and it’s been pretty consistent. Can’t go wrong here.
