Bidrage med feedbackWe (a couple on honeymoon) took part in an Asado Master Class run by Chef Angelo. It was a rainy Mendoza day which was significantly brightened up by the class run by Angelo. We were the only two there on the day and Angelo brought us for an olive oil tasting and then to buy the food in the butcher, baker and fruit and veg stall. Angelo is an energetic and funny guy and was very informative and gave great tips on making Empanadas and an Asado. The class also includes a mate at the end and both Angelo and Claudia were very welcoming. The class takes place in Angelo & Claudia's house and they have a fantastic garden that is well set up for outdoor eating - unfortunately not possible on the day we were there. It is definitely a unique Mendoza experience not to be missed.
My wife and I had a great experience with Angelo, his wife Claudia. They made us feel right at home which was a welcome experience after travelling for several days in a foreign country. By that point in our trip we were also reaching our red meat limit so we were very excited for Caribbean style food and flavours. The setting, food and company were all wonderful - it didn't hurt that the other guests were locals with extensive wine knowledge. If we ever find ourselves back in Mendoza we'll be reaching out to Angelo. Highly recommended.
We had the pleasure of taking an asado class with Chef Angelo and his wife in their home in Mendoza. We spent two weeks in Argentina and this was a definite highlight of our trip. Angelo picked us up at our hotel, took us on an olive oil tasting, then to the bakery, produce stand and butcher before going to his home to cook. Angelo and Claudia are so friendly and welcoming that it feels like you are sharing a meal with old friends. Highly recommended.
We were able to have 2 experiences with Chef Angelo and his wife Claudia. First, we did a cooking class with them and learned the tradition of Asado making. He was so friendly and helpful and I loved that he could make the connections between what Argentin's use to cook and what we need to do differently in the U.S. Then, we were able to spend New Year's Eve at their restaurant. They were so helpful, picking people up when they were unable to find cabs and then taking us home as well. The food was always amazing and delicious and the Caribbean menu was a nice break from so much beef. The espresso creme brule was soooo delicious (as was everything else).Thank you!!!!
After a long flight from Oz to Mendoza, Chef Angelo introduced us to an Asado experience not to be missed, with complimenting wines.Loved the fact that Chef Angleo and his lovely wife, Claudia open up their home and welcome you with pre dinner Espumante and Chacurturie fix while dinner is being prepared.Excellent Location, food and company. If traveling to Mendoza, highly recommended.
