Bidrage med feedbackThe Westin has partnered with Four Pillars to bring a truly delicious menu celebrating the best of Australian seafood and gin. Beyond the three new Four Pillars gin cocktails on offer, every dish also incorporates a Four Pillars 'Made From Gin ' product in creative and unexpected ways. <br/ <br/ We loved tasting our way through the three tiered seafood feast featuring delicious gin-infused seafood treats such as crumpets with Yarra Valley creme fraiche, Balmain bug sandwich, barramundi scotched egg, oysters with Four Pillars Rare Dry gin and red snapper dressing and Port Phillip Bay scallops with Four Pillars orange and mustard glaze, dill and parsley.
You will find Allegro Restaurant within Westin Hotel Melbourne. For entree I would recommend the Char-grill Skull Island prawns or the Crudo hiramasa kingfish both $28. Our group tried 4 of the mains on offer (all around $38), the lamb, pork, fish and duck. We enjoyed them all. The mushroom and tarragon pot pie and pumpkin were great side dishes and accompaniments to the meal.<br/ <br/ There are currently Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired desserts and cocktails available. Would suggest you try these while they are available.
Came here specifically for High Cheese High Tea. The service is exceptional, the waitress was friendly attentive and was an expert help when we asked her if she could take a photo of our group at the table! Each item was explained including the order to eat our way through the stand. Hopefully it’ll be back next year!
High Seas High Tea review!I loved everything about this high tea! There was not one bad component! The savory scones were really interesting but surprisingly good. The Crab Croquettes, Poached Shrimp Pot and the **** Mary Oyster were my favourites! The cost of the high tea was $89, but worth every cent!
This restaurant sure knows how to do a high tea! I went and did the High Seas high tea on the weekend and the food was absolutely delightful. The seafood was fresh and well presented. Highlight items off the menu were the spanner crab croquettes, the lobster tacos (so much lobster, just wished the corn tortilla was nicer and didn’t taste like cardboard) and the four pillars gin frozen marmalade custard. I unfortunately had to take a star off of the dining experience as I didn’t feel that the customer service delivered was up to my expectations. Staff were not the most attentive and a pet peeve of mine is when staff do not communicate credit card surcharges when paying.
