El Chico Mexican - Melbourne

Husband and I went here for dinner and I really liked the atmosphere and the fact the music was not too loud or all fast Mexican/Spanish music, as is the place near by that we walked out of. But the best part of this visit, was the outstanding service by Diana and Trina, they work very well as a tag team and made sure we never ran out of beverage and that our food came out to our liking. Both women were so friendly, efficient and excited about the menu the rest. had to offer. We will def. be back to visit. Thank you ladies, keep doing what your doing, your service was much appreciated.

The food delicious! Atmosphere is fun. And the service is wonderful.

I want to give it five stars but there were a few things that were slightly off although the portions are amazing and the staff is great could use the little more lively atmosphere however I do love all the wall hangings and everything there so definitely a high four stars four and a half if I have to say

The staff is super nice.I met Jo and Marcia. There aren't many restaurants where you can get this kind of friendly interaction. They honestly care if you have a good experience.

So to start the chicken in the burrito had a horrible smell to it and a very metallic taste like it was spoiled or something. My boyfriend ordered the steak burrito and it was covered in what appeared to be literal dog food canned chili and we sent his meal back. The waitress was nice to switch it out but the steak in the burrito had the same metallic taste. We spent over 120$ for dinner and drinks for 3 people. I always wondered why the parking lot is dead now I know. Thank god we didn’t get sick kitchen nightmares!
