Bidrage med feedbackWe've dined on the veranda before and had another wonderful experience. The food was excellent, which we were really pleased about. We were also glad that we chose not to eat inside, as the buffet area was loud and crowded. Instead, we spent an hour in the lobby and on the surrounding porch, where we discovered a great option of enjoying the bar and ordering dinner. They serve it at the various tables available, creating a relaxed atmosphere. We met many interesting people there, making for some casual encounters while sharing the seating areas.
I've visited Heirloom about 7 or 8 times this season. In the beginning, both the service and the kitchen had some issues that needed addressing, but it seems they have ironed out all the problems just as the season is winding down. I'm hoping they kick off next year on a positive note!
The food was outstanding. However, the only drawback was the noise level; it was quite difficult to hear. Our party of two was seated with six other guests, and at times it was nearly impossible to hear the person sitting across from me. It would be great if some sound-absorbing elements could be added.
The Antheneum Hotel has a very historic atmosphere, and dining on the porch with views of the lake was both enjoyable and relaxing. The staff were helpful without being intrusive. The selection of food at the Sunday brunch was excellent, and everything we tried was delicious, particularly the omelets. My only suggestion would be to offer more gluten-free and vegetarian options.
The food is tasty, but unfortunately, if you're following a low sodium diet, the buffet isn't an option since everything is quite salty. The menu selections also tend to be high in salt, leaving you with limited choices.
