Akarana Eatery - Maungakiekie-Tamaki

First time here since the rebuild. Wow was blown away. Lunch on the sunny veranda with girlfriends and we all loved it. Great service and delicious food... Loved the live music too. Felt like summer... We had the sharing platter and four couldn't finish it. Great value. Will be a new favourite

Our meal was fabulous. We ate fish chips, it had 2 good sized fillets perfectly battered. The Tuna Lion and Hapuka dishes were spectacular. We will be back. Our waitress was fabulous. They were even kind enough to deliver a muffin with a candle in it to wish my father a happy 95th birthday… what a lovely touch

A really great location and plenty of outdoor seating. The menu is standard but you are here for the location and the view. Service was all good too. The only thing to note is that there were plenty of kids there when we went. Made for a bit of a loud and rowdy environment instead of a calm chill one. There are some swings to play, a tree to climb, and lots of grass so I suppose families come as it is an easy spot to keep the kids entertained.

Was an absolutely great experience. Had the wedges and flat bread for an entree and the steak for the main. Everything was beautifully cooked. Booking for 1pm and was finished around 2pm. Would recommend as a nice lunch in a picturesque location with a great view of rangitoto. Cost around 70 per person for drinks entree and main.

Been here for lunch a few times and have always had exceptional food and service. Wait staff are very friendly and speedy and the chefs are always cooking top notch food. Would 10/10 recommend the Shakshuka eggs off the breakfast menu.
