Clara J's Tea Room - Maumee

The food was delicious and the service was great. The issue I had was 2 large groups of women were in the same room along with a talented pianist. At times it became difficult to talk to my neighbor.Food: 5/5

Great place for a special occasion! We went in July for my sis' 85th birthday. Our group's ages ranged from 88 to almost 3 years old. The atmosphere and dynamics were demure, elegant and pampering. The service, presentation and food and beverage offerings were very well prepared and pleased everyone in our group of 10. A gifted pianist was playing classic standards; and enthralled the little one. I'd happily recommend this business to others! We are planning more visits!

The most unique place in town!!! You can definitely tell that it’s owned by a true chef with many years of experience! Everything looks and tastes so amazing!!!! Highly recommend!

I admit, I'm not really a tea house sort of person. I was initially forced to go there, and not happily : . The kind and generous-with-their-time-and-energy staff and the *amazing* food made me into a big fan. We've visited many times since my first visit. The food is always perfect; the staff is always amazing. The person commenting that said something about visiting a hoarders home is a person that prefers chain restaurants lacking any ambiance or charm. Clara J's is tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. The energy and time put into offering the vast assortment of teas and well-balanced, creative menu are evidence this must be a labor of love. It's in a historic home there's a man playing sweet songs on the piano most Saturdays. Freaked out by charm, and restaurants not housed in sterile, boring environments? You don't belong here. Which is awesome, because most days they're pretty busy.
