Grand Hôtel De La Poste - Massiac

We ended up there in transit from Spain after an 8-hour flat tire incident. It was very hot to check in, but if you opened the windows in your room in the evening and at night, it became nice and cool because you are in the mountains. Rooms were clean, beautiful bathroom, wonderful beds, clean linen, breakfast simple, but fine and friendly staff. Hotel highlights: Quiet

Friendly but interieur a little bit old and used53 Euro is a little bit much for this kinda standardVery simple and small bathroom.

A traditional logis with a pleasant, airy dining room. Massiac is just off the A75 and would make a welcome alternative to a motorway service area if you had the time for a longer stop. There is a choice of good value menus and dishes à la carte including many regional specialities. There is a formule for 15 euros at lunch time during the week. On a Saturday there was a plat du jour for 11 euros or a 4 course menu for 24 euros. The portions were generous and I particularly remember that the fruit tart I had for dessert was very good.Service was friendly & efficient. Overall - well worth a visit.
