Marlborough Country Bakery

My family loves this bakery! From the bagels to the desserts. Staff is always wonderful and kind, and quickly handle orders. We ordered a chocolate cake with strawberries and strawberry mousse/icing for my daughter 's birthday and it was a huge hit! (Notewe purchased the 'one ' sign off Amazon)

We ordered several $73.44) of the stuffed breads for a retirement party. They were very very chunky and dry and did NOT hold together, like it was impossible to cut and serve them. The bread, in places, was so thin it could not be picked up and fillingsjust fell out. We could not even use more than half of them due to it looking an awful mess. The baker at Marlborough needs tore-think how these are made. We were very disappointed to get these failed ?stuffed breads?

Custom ordered a cake on Monday. I showed them the picture on the left of the cookies as a reference as I wanted the theme and color scheme to be the same but for a 1st birthday. Girl at the counter told me about how good it was going to look and told me about what the special qualities the baker was going to add. Friday morning I picked it up and it looked like this. Not even close to what I was told. We also ordered a matching cupcake that was supposed to be decorated nicely but all it had was pink icing.. The words are bleeding and the butterflies are printed on edible paper straight from the reference photo even though I said specifically I did not want them printed I wanted them hand designer. If they could not do that then I would’ve rather them not take the commission. Very disappointed as I did not have enough time to get her a professionally decorated cake for her first birthday.

Sweetheart, Please wear gloves when handling food sweetheart. Sweetheart, ESPECIALLY after handling my money honey. Sweetheart, Still ate my food because I love your goods!

The pastries are quite decent, but tend to be on the less fresh side. a bit too sweet also for baked, especially the Italian.
