The food was good but cold needs to find a better way to keep it warmer. The rice was not done

Stopped by on my way from Myrtle Beach and I’m glad I did! For only $13 I got stewed beef, yellow rice, Mac and cheese, cabbage, corn bread, cake and a drink ?. Food was great, the beef and cabbage were amazing. The corn bread was a little soft and sticky but still good. The server/cashier with the short light colored curly hair and piercings was the sweetest! BLACK OWNED AS WELL!

Today I found Big Johns randomly and gave it a shot. The food for the most part was good. I ordered the Stew Beef and with rice, mac&cheese and yams. Beef was a little dry but not to bad, rice was good, mac&cheese good and yams were good but had a strong cinnamon taste. Corn bread wasn't the best or worst. You also get a drink and piece of cake. Cake is definitely store bought not a big issue. Reasonable price for meal $12. Overall i would return and try again. The woman working up front with the Curly hair has a great personality and attitude.Parking: Small Parking Lot just enough for the establishment.

Stopped here on a whim yesterday traveling through SC with my family, and man I am so glad we did!!! Big John and Ms Pamela were so welcoming and the food was wonderful ? Highly recommend the turkey wings!! My son legit was upset when his lemonade ran out because he thought it was the best he'd ever had. Great experience, would recommend to anyone!

BEST SOUL FOOD IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME!! Whenever I'm coming through here again, WE WILL definitely be stopping by here again!
