Bidrage med feedbackWe've been to this place several times, and the food is awesome, and it's got a cozy, intimate atmosphere. We love the bacon wrapped dates, the octopus, and the steak all pair well with their nice selection of handcrafted cocktails.. Our one gripe is the customer service at the door. We spontaneously decided to go on a Wednesday, and the guy at the door acted like he wasn't sure if he could seat us, even though the restaurant was sparsely occupied. He asked us if we had a reservation and there was this long pause as he appeared to look to see if they could accommodate us. Please keep in mind that the restaurant isn't large and there's outdoor seating, plus bar seating. It was very off-putting. I am making it a point to mention it because this isn't the 1st time it has happened there, and it's starting to become a turn-off. I'm all for a swanky and exclusive experience, but not at the expense of having to wonder if I'm welcome or not.
Make reservations, this place isn't a walk up restaurant unless you're ok with sitting outside I made reservations for my boyfriend and I at Silla Del Toro on the square of Marietta for his birthday dinner and it was amazing. Tapas and drinks are all good! I ordered an Old Fashioned. Then,we had a grown up lunch able, aka a meat and cheese board that was delicious. We ordered these tapas; Tortilla Española, Empanadas, Pinchos, Spanish Style Mac Cheese and Manchego stuffed Dates wrapped with Bacon. They even gave him a free dessert which he chose the churros. They were DEVINE!Would definitely go again and try something new!If you're new to this area, arrive early to find parking the square can get crazy on the weekends, especially.
Celebrated my birthday with friends. We had a party of 5 and a baby. I checked with the restaurant to make sure it was ok to bring a baby and it was. The baby did great in the restaurant and she wasn’t in the way of anyone either. The service was great; our waiter helped us with questions we had on the menu and checked that we were fine throughout our dinner. We enjoyed drinks first and each ordered a couple of plates to share. The plates came out one or two at a time and I really enjoyed how spaced they were so it wasn’t so overwhelming. I tried the sangria flight and the mezcal flight both were delicious. And then we shared a plate of the butter toffee cake which is to die for. Overall, it was a great dinner experience and I can’t wait to come back, even for drinks and a charcuterie board. Not pictured but also very fast included the Albondigas (meatballs) we got two orders of those, pinchos (steak) which was tasty, Gambas Al Ajillo (very good), Calamari (a win with the whole table), and escalavada I didn’t it but our table had two orders and they really enjoyed it.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Silla del Toro, and I must say, my experience surpassed all expectations. What started as a casual visit to explore their renowned tapas offerings turned into an unforgettable journey, all thanks to the incredible efforts of the manager, Bill, and the entire staff. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, it was evident that Silla del Toro was more than just a dining establishment; it was a place that took pride in creating cherished memories. Bill, the manager, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. He not only greeted us with genuine warmth but also took the time to walk us through the menu with great enthusiasm.Bill's dedication and attention to detail were truly remarkable. He patiently discussed every aspect of our event, from the menu selection to the seating arrangements. His professionalism and genuine interest in making our special day extraordinary were evident in every interaction we had.The staff at Silla del Toro mirrored Bill's exceptional commitment to service. Throughout our meal, we were treated with the utmost care and courtesy. I wholeheartedly recommend Silla del Toro. Thank you, Bill, and the entire Silla del Toro team, for creating an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever.
Took the grandkids for tapas. A great place to do it. Approachable and easy unlike some tapas places. Please note that this is a “nice” restaurant not tapas McDonald’s. They have a thoughtfully curated, delicious menu it’s just a little more approachable to take your kids to dress up dinner with small plates than some of the tapas restaurants with 10 kinds of sardines and anchovies : . They have a great vibe we have also been many times for date night and as fabulous as it was to take kids, it’s even better for a night out. Cocktails are spectacular- G&T selection is on point. I always see groups of women here hanging out at the bar or a table catching up and having a blast. Makes for a happy friendly vibe. All in all it’s a superb place to eat whatever your occasion.Kid-friendliness: They even made my granddaughter a mock tail!
