La Carreta - Marietta

I felt the need to review since there is a temporary closure. If we lost La Carretta I’d be devastated. For 10yrs this has been our weekly go-to restaurant — my absolute favorite for the area. The food is always great and the service, super friendly and on point. Their house margarita is hands down the best in Atlanta. If you haven’t tried it, you should! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've never eaten here before but my coworkers insisted. $65 later....my bosses order was missing meat and the chicken on the rest of the orders were very dry. The cheese bread seemed to be old (see pic). I very much enjoyed the delicious and moist Mexicano Tamale. The chips are made fresh and are enjoyably thin and crispy, just the way they should be. I am very picky about my Mexican food, and also I have many food restrictions for my health. but I sat there where I could charge my phone (I arrived early on cinco de mayo) and a young waiter named carlos came to serve me. he was new, but he carefully listened to all my nutritional concerns and then showed me on the menu what I could eat in all my restrictions. it was different from what I was used at my favorite Mexican restaurants, but I enjoyed every bit very, and I can't say enough about how attentive carlos was during my meal. I begged him to his boss, and she was very pleased that he was so good. I had flourtacos with cubed roasted, and flat green plantains with guacamole, which was generous enough to spread on the tacos as well as the plantains. rice and red beans rounded off the meal and I don't know what was the best part of the meal - it was all delicious! I will definitely go back and ask carlos to be my server.

Nice restaurant with friendly service and affordable prices. The food was really good. Chips and salsa aren't complimentary. There's a convenience store attached with lots of options. I would visit again
