The food and atmosphere were great! First time stopping in and we really had a wonderful time. We had, and recommend, the Jimmy burger, the Bistro steak and the roasted cauliflower!

The food was poorly executed. I'm not super sensitive to salt but my dinner (Osso Bucco with polenta) completely lacked seasoning. So much so that I didn't even come close to finishing it. My dinner partner's dish, on the other hand, was so heavily salted and sopping wet with butter that it was off putting. The beats appetizer should have been the tip off for what we were in for. I love vegetables, but this tasted like someone put boiled beats and some greens on a plate. No seasoning, no spice, no acid, no heat, no umami, no sweetness. It was boring. I hope we caught them on a bad night. The quality of the ingredients seemed high.

We had a wonderful experience at Polite Society, and are very grateful they could accommodate our 11p group on such a busy day! Great food, great service — looking forward to returning!
