I’ve been coming back in this place not only for the Best Primitivo plate the Chef made(tagliolini) but also they make you feel at home... With the madrigale Wine,appetizers like pettole,mixed of traditional dish like fave and cime di rape! You’ll enjoy also their desserts! Compliments to the owner and whole Staff!
We are so happy after having lunch at Trattoria Messapica. The food was more than delicious, the most delicious orecchini with meatbolls ever! We also tried their home made pasta with mynt and aubergine we were “eating and crying” so delicius it was. A glass of Primitivo and the wow tette del monaco, a desert that was simply perfect. We had the chance to meet the owners and the lovely family being sure la Trattoria is a place to recommend and to come back!
The menu is small which is normally a good sign, as they are usually playing to their strengths. That was not my experience tonight! The chips can first, before the bread! And where frozen chips! Then a good while after bread arrived, followed by allegedly a piece of fillet steak, which had so much gristle and sinew, I couldn't eat it and my mixed salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, not even broken up, some quite nice tomatoes (this is Italy after all) and about 10 leaves of rocket! I went for the house primitivo di Manduria and if that's what it tastes like that will be the last time I drink it! Not a pleasant evening ,
Il menu corto è sempre di alta qualità. Sai, sai... Il cuoco è la moglie. Come stare in casa. posto pulito. andare lì ogni volta che vuoi rischiare di rovinare una serata.
Fusilli ricotta e scampi....cucina salentina toppp.... Personale gentilissimo Da tornarci per altre specialità !
