Sanam Sweet House - Manchester

Our experience at this restaurant was terrible. Despite being seated by a nice window, the place was cold and uncomfortable. We requested the heating to be turned on, but the heater didn't provide much warmth. The traditional dish we ordered was tasteless and seemed to have been reheated in a microwave. The handi dish contained only a few pieces of meat in a watery curry sauce with green peppers, which was unusual and unappetizing. Another dish, spinach-based, was also flavorless and resembled wallpaper paste. Overall, our evening was a waste of time and money. The restaurant's standards have clearly declined over the years. We will not be returning, and we recommend avoiding this place if you are unfamiliar with Pakistani cuisine. It pales in comparison to other options in Chester.

Poor service and very unprofessional management order 2 staters 1 came in 5 minutes and smosa was so cold just took 2 spoon and left it 2nd starter took ages to come and they spill all the salt of their restaurant on my quarter piece of chicken terrible taste left it there and and main course never arrived and at the end we left the place by paying whole bill which we never had and they were offering to take your food with me, we came all they way glasgow and they made us so upset !!!!

We ordered a tandoori mixed grill, bindhi gosht, paratha, rice, and raita to share, along with plain lassi, for £40. The meal was just as excellent as I remember it being 25 years ago.

The food tasted stale and gave me stomach cramps all night. The poppadoms were not fresh, the raita was curdled, and the meals were unappetizing. Even the tap water tasted strange. The service was okay. I have been going to Sanam for years, but this visit will be my last. There are plenty of other options on Curry Mile. The restaurant was decent, but the toilets, which I use as a benchmark for cleanliness, were clean but worn out and in need of renovation.

Food was fresh tasty Service was great and staffs were accommodating. Restaurant can be very busy so there is some wait. They make the best cake!
