North Tea Power - Manchester

I 've never wanted to send food back before, but the mushroom schnitzel is one of the most gross things I 've eaten. Oily greasy battered mushroom in a 'schnitzel ' (dry tough burger bun). The salad was soggy. The service was subpar, the vibe was dull.

Still one of the best places for a coffee despite all the newcomers. Great all-rounder with heaps of effort going into all the food and snacks served. Long established Manchester favourite. A must go.

Great little brunch and cake venue! Cake was good, try the cheesecake. Also managed to get in on a weekend, which is always welcome in the NQ.

Had a lovely lunch here. I enjoyed the fresh juice and toasted sandwich. They pre-make the sandwiches, so I really appreciated the chef making me one without an ingredient I don't like.

Had a lunch of kimchee and cheese, which was excellent. The mint tea (made with fresh mint and a slice of lemon) plus a super cheesecake desert sealed the deal. Its great! Yes there are hipsters but its the northern quarter. Friendly staff and a prompt service too. Nice open seating, a bit of a hidden gem.
