Bidrage med feedbackWe decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. We tried the beef pho, pork bun thit nurong, and stir-fried noodles. The beef pho soup was the best we've ever had - flavorful but not too salty, and it came with a side salad. Be sure to add the bean sprouts to the soup right away if you prefer them cooked. The pork bun thit nurong was also delicious, with crispy yet tender pork and a delicious fish sauce. The stir-fried noodles were just okay and we may skip them next time. We also tried the Vietnamese coffees, which were both good but we're not coffee experts so they tasted similar to us. The staff can advise you on which one is better. The coffees are served with condensed milk, which isn't really my thing but when in Rome, do as the Romans do. We will definitely return, but next time we'll come after 1pm for a less crowded experience.
My partner and I always make it a point to try out Vietnamese restaurants whenever we visit a new city, since there aren't many in Newcastle. Today, we tried this restaurant and were blown away by the amazing food. The pho was incredibly flavorful and fresh, and the crispy spring rolls were delicious. There were also great vegetarian options for my partner. The Vietnamese coffee was fantastic as well. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable.
We enjoyed our visit! The food had a cozy, home-cooked feel that was perfect for a family outing. There weren't many options for WFPB (whole-food, plant-based) vegans, but the staff were friendly and willing to help.
A well known Vietnamese restaurant in Nong Khai, “Ca phe Viet” has many delicious recipes such as Vietnamese noodles, Vietnamese Coffee etc.
It was a nice experience. Spring rolls were nice however may have been better if it had come with some salad on the side. Pho were lovely, the broth was nice, there was plenty however there was literally 1 piece of mint for 2 bowls of Pho. Service was quick but doesn't mean it's great. It was a small table for 2 with cutlery condiment, we have just started having our starter and the waiter already brought 2 massive bowls of Pho out. You should either let us sit in a bigger table or keep an eye to see if we actually finish eating or not before serving and rushing us for the next dish. Overall not bad.
