Boathouse And Bistro - Malvern Hills

I have awarded 4 stars not because of food and service but because parking near to the restaurant is difficult , step flight of stairs leading upto the restaurant and doubtful wheelchair access. Restaurant has an excellent view over the river , is austere in design but nice tables and chairs with plenty of room . In nice weather enjoyable to sit out on the balcony. Bar service. Service good , cheerful, efficient and polite. Excellent selection of tapas which meant that the 4 of us were able to chose dishes to suit ourselves . I enjoyed the mushrooms and beef the best but the lamb koftas and salad were also liked by the others. Liked the way the tapas dishes were timed to arrive as you ate your way through the meal.

We managed to sit outside overlooking the river in the sun. Very dog friendly in the day. The tapas was amazing, freshly cooked. Had three dishes brought out at a time. Given time to enjoy each dish before the others arrived. Would definitely go back. Great value for money.

So friendly and welcoming, wonderful range of dishes all delicious. Decent portion sizes, excellent service. They were so helpful with my dietary limitations (gluten, histamines) and good value. Had great time, lovely atmosphere. Thank you, especially Josh.

My partner 's cousin and her husband came to visit us and to see the delights of the Malvern hills. They live in the USA, have travelled extensively and appreciate a variety of cuisines. She is also an exceptional cook. After our meal she commented several times on the very good flavours of each tapas dish, declaring it a Meal to Remember We had ordered tapas to suit both vegetarian and non vegetarian palates, consisting of two types of salad, meat and vegetable dishes from the a la carte menu. Absoloutely excellent ; we love Tapas but find in England you just can't get the proper stuff but this place came as near to damn it to perfection. Beautifully cooked , tasty,piping hot food , sensibly priced and excellent sevice freom the young staff. To top it all river views as we sat outside on a balmy evening.
