Taters - Makati

Taters tries to stay relevant with product enhancements and partnerships, their latest gimmick being the Cheetos coated potato chips, fries, and just plain Cheetos on the side. I for one enjoy a bit of a junky cheesy delight once in awhile, but I came here for a quick take out snack, while my friend ordered a quick meal. I ordered a family sized Popcorn in a resealable pack with a dusting of sour cream powder, while my friend had a reliable hot dog chili that fell into his stomach, consuming it in a few bites, gosh he was hungry, the sour cream fries was fairly strong, but not overly so that I'd for water. Taters is my favorite snack shop before I see a movie. Serves fantastic snacks from flavored popcorns to hot dog sandwiches. And now, along with Cheetos, there are Cheetos snacks too. This branch even offers free delivery to your respective cinema chair. I had their NY churkey sandwich combo. It was chicken and turkey sausage in a sesame bun with cucumber relish, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. The sausage was properly cooked and was juicy and crispy. Even though they only get it from one supplier, it was good. The fries were perfectly fried and crispy. The whole deal was P150. Sad sad popcorn. What happens to Taters. Your popcorn isn't fresh these days. Although the service was good. Very friendly from start to pick up. It's just so disappointing that your star product is no longer what it used to be. Bad day maybe? Hopefully.

Tried the Beef Hotdog Classic. Well flavored, hard casing (a sign of a good sign) overall, deliciously appealing. Topped with ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard. The bread was high quality with sesame seeds, crumbly, soft and fresh. Worth a try.

What I love about Taters is their flavored popcorn, brewed iced tea and fast service.   You can mix and match 2 different flavors in 1 bag (both for Little League and Major League).  Isn't that great?  Depending on my mood, I like to have the savory flavor on top (barbecue/sour cream/nacho cheese) and the sweet flavors at the bottom part (butter or caramel).
