Flor Da Praça - Loulé

This restaurant used to be a regular visit everytime we were in the Algarve. Recommended by local friends you always got a good meal amongst locals. Upon arrival this year we initially thought the restaurant had had a spruce up and been redecorated , new furniture etc. However, we now find it has new management and how I wish the old ones would come back. Gone were the locals. Up went the prices and the service left a lot to be desired. We were brought a plate of olives and discovered a stone on there with a half eaten olive. We called the waiter over who shrugged removed it and said that happens in the kitchen. No attempt was made to replace, even though we were charged for them and we really felt these had been put on a table previously and half eaten. Not an ideal start. We ordered tuna steaks, as right next to the market we knew these would be fresh. They were good as the pictures show. Along with the veg and potatoes served with them. I could not fault the meal although a lot of tables had dishes arrive for one or two people and noone ate together. We were a bit luckier, maybe because we all ate the tuna, it all arrived together, however we waited for a fork for a while, in the end taking one from another table. Would we return? No. Prices are far more than we expected (despite current times), the locals are gone which always made us want to eat there and the staff were not friendly. We didn't feel appreciated.

Visited this restaurant, as a family of four, on two occasions during our stay. Fantastic fresh fish and meat in an authentic Portuguese restaurant. We were the only tourists in the restaurant on both occasions. Great value, great service and lovely food.

Very disappointing lunch here. Poor service and food swimming with oil. No effort made. We had to go inside to request cutlery.

Popped in while visit town. Service was a little sporadic, but we did order a fare but and had changes due to dietary needs. Food was very good and value amazing.

Good traditional style restaurant. Plain decor but good food and service with large portions. Had to wait for a table which tells me how popular this restaurant is
