Icing On The Cake - Los Gatos

Such a friendly staff! I love this place, makes me feel like a kid again. It's awesome how many options they have for dietary restrictions. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who is vegan or dairy free and looking for a fluffy cake!

Hopefully, you too won 't feel the ice at Icing on the Cake. They have some unique flavors and the quality is okay for the price. I paid 4.75 each for cupcakes which I thought is a little much, but I can live with that since I only come there 1 or2 times a month.Unfortunately, today I decided that I won 't likely return to IOTC because they don 't just have unique flavors, but also a unique brand of customer service. I wanted to order a cake for my daughter 's 4th birthday and came 2 weeks and 2 days in advance of ordering. They said I can 't place an order because the first day they would accept my order was in 2 days, so I have to come back. Oh and come early because they fill up early for cake orders for weekend days .I hope they were able to absorb the WTH face that immediately followed because in all the years of ordering baked goods I 've never had been asked to come back on their required date to accept orders. I was only 2 days ahead of their requirement and my first time ordering with them so I didn 't know.It sounds like a poor choice in business policy that isn 't customer centric. In reading some of the other bad reviews, I can see I 'm not the only one with this experience.

I had the chocolate Easter special cupcake. It's edges were very crispy and added a nice texture. The cake itself was very good and had a nice flavor. It was moist and tasty. The icing was to sweet and lacked chocalte flavor. I also had a bite of the snickerdoodle and molasses crinkle. The molasses crinkle had a good flavor and a nice outside. The inside was 30 seconds away from perfectly cooked. The snickerdoodle was excellent and flavorful. Definitely my favorite. A must have for snickerdoodle fans. The service was kind of slow, but they did have a lot of customers. The decorations were very nice. If you enjoy baked goods, I suggest going here.

Still my favorite bakery in the Bay Area. Love their squares of famous banana cake. Big fan of all their cookies. Make sure to check for the day old cookies and snap them up (they are .50 cents less per cookie). I managed to get two chocolate chip cookies. They also have a lot of good candles, cards and gifts. The customer service is always good and friendly.
