Bidrage med feedbackThis family owned restaurant takes great pride in their service and food. And it shows. The prices are very reasonable and the food was VERY good. Excellent pizza, ravioli, lasagna, spaghetti. We had them all. Would both recommend and go back next time I am in Brownsville.
Rather good.. Especially considering the lack of variety in Los Fresnos, this place isn't too bad. The location is horrendous, but the service is...well, somewhat sad. It's manned by younglings who've just graduated from the local high school, so they're always a bit bored and seem to feel like you're bothering them. But the pizza is edible. The other local pizza joint closed down, so this is the only one around now. It still can't compare to other joints in Brownsville or San Benito, but that's all we've got here. Recommendation: If you live in Los Fresnos and don't feel like going far for pizza, fine. If you don't live in Los Fresnos, don't bother. Pizza Hut is only twenty minutes away in San Benito, Brownsville, or Port Isabel. Go there instead.
We stopped by on a whim, en route back to Laguna Vista. And what a delightful surprise. I thought the pizza to be first rate. Now, please take this as a compliment, the pizza was in the style of Domino's, crust wise. Which I really liked. Not too thin, not too thick. Be sure to order a salad too. One salad serves two people. I recommend this place.
We've been driving by this tiny pizza joint for a few months now and haven't had reason to check it out. Now that we have I'm thinking about all the good pizza's we could have been having! Los Fresnos is a small town with no competitive pizza to keep them on their toes but on their toes they stay. Their crust is made in house I saw them making another batch. It's a bit thick for my tastes more on the thickness of Little Ceasar or Pizza Hit but it's tasty, light (but not crispy and slightly on the bland side. The marinara too struck me as a little bland until we added the toppings and then everything was perfect. This wasn't New York and it wasn't Chicago but it was a doggone good pie! We added a large house salad for two which came with garlic breadsticks and the whole thing was more than we needed for two hungry people. Their prices are reasonable, they also do carry out. The place is small seating for (I'd guess about 30. I know we'll be back. :
I go for the Turkey Sub Sandwich with everything! My gosh, they are so good! They are not selfish with the fixings on it either. At a reasonable price, too. I would suggest for people to try it even if you go for the pizza.
