Katella Bakery, Deli - Los Alamitos

Our first visit, and probably our last. We were excited that there was no wait for a table, as we’ve driven by numerous times where there were many people who appeared to be waiting. We were seated in a bright and cheerful looking area. Our table was about 18 inches from the table next to us. Our very friendly server didn’t even have room to stand at our table to greet us or take our order. There was a weird pillow on the chair, and the back of the booth was stained. We saw the menu before we arrived, so we knew the prices were higher than average. We were surprised by how small the portions were considering the price. My husband had a pastrami sandwich that looked like a lite lunch option, though he said it was good. I had a steak sandwich but the steak was barely thicker than a slice of deli meat, and I had to cut off a large piece of fat. The sandwich was mostly lettuce and bread. The French fries were delicious. We spent $52 before tip for the two meals and left hungry.

Can't lie...at first when this was suggested I wasn't very excited but as soon as I walked in everything changed!!! Beautiful establishment with a perfect layout! Everything I tried was the best example I've ever had! Best corn beef, pastrami,breads, pastries.... unbelievable! Took a huge box of goodies to go!!! Literally made me wanna move back to Cali but I'd need another 3 jobs on top of the 3 I already have... much love!!!!

The best deli in orange County hands down. The cakes are awesome, and my wife loved her birthday cake that I had done here. On top of that, the bakery and restaurant offer great food.

To get your bagel toasted you need to go to the restaurant side on “food to go” register. Their bagel is so yummy I forgot to take photo before it went into my tummy.
