The Larder Mantra - LORNE

The service was slow and the food was dry. It was like my pasta was waiting under the heating to cook my husband's meal. I couldn't eat it. The lamb was very dry and pasta hard. We lived in Mantra but did not return. We also asked for a drink, but they forgot when we went to pay.

Dinner was great, but the service was a little slow. I think they might have a problem in the kitchen, are staff problems. Total was good

Staff is currently a problem that may have affected the speed of the table service. But when we had their intention, people were friendly and helpful. As a restaurant with a focus on steaks, however, the Scotchfilet was better than the desired medium rare. Acceptable food, not exceptional.

The restaurant was very busy and very loud our waitress was nice and the food was very nice, but our booking was around 6.30 we all had the specials shared menu our main came around 8.45 very slow!! We got a nice bowl of potatoes as an excuse. The wine was very good We were a table of 5 and had a good night, but it would have been better if our food arrived earlier.

Breakfast at The Larder was excellent and the service was great. Dinner was disappointing as the service dropped off markedly probably due to less staff. Serving sizes were very small for the fish of the day. Sides very good. However I ordered the prawn linguine and the pasta was terrible, glued together and stuck to the plate, not sure that it was cooked fresh, and the serving size was very small. The prawns were very salty! Disappointing because the price was high for the quantity and quality served! In hindsight I should have sent it back to the kitchen! A shame because the ambience of this restaurant is nice!
