SOOOOOOOOO good. I find it funny how this truck manages to outperform pretty much all the Mexican restaurants in town.
FAIL. you know why? Rice is not a filler for meat. This guy makes burritos and fills them with more rice than meat! People rave about the price, but they're paying too much, they're paying for rice! Rice with no flavor, meat with no flavor, meat with fat dangling on it. It floors me that guys at work eat here. Yes, it's the only ethic shop in the area, but is it really authentic Mexican or is he pulling a wool over your eyes? I've never ate a burrito filled with rice, no Mexican cheese, no juicy meat as I sink my teeth into the tortilla. Yes, it's food and ya gotta eat, but in all respect, it's the worse I've had. Go to Paco taco I logan, get a burrito and then buy one at this truck....in that order...you'll see the difference. And Paco isn't the best either, but at least they're not trying to rip people off with rice, which cost pennies to buy and zilch to cook. Will the food get better at the new Smithfield location....in don't think people in the area would nitice, either way.
These are the best street tacos I've had in the state. The carne asada was tender and juicy, the corn tortillas were soft yet sturdy, the green sauce was spicy and smooth, and the red sauce was slightly sweet and smoky with a hint of chipotle. I can't comment on the rest of the menu, but if you're in the mood for 5 tacos for $6.75, you can't go wrong here.
The food was excellent and served quickly, with friendly and clean service.
