Our family loves this place. Food is always fabulous.
Had our annual Christmas dinner party at Pasquinis and the food was delicious
First off, it's not a reflection on Pasquinis's part but parking was a challenge that took almost 10 minutes bc of huge vehicles taking compact spots and no defined parking spaces that lead to me getting out and finding a suitable spot on foot while directing my wife with a laser pointer to the ideal spot. Ordered the New York Strip medium rare with seasonal veg and roasted potatoes. The vibe was like that of a hunting shack with Italian subtext complete with stuffed pheasant props hanging off the wall and a crooked map of Northern California as it was last century. That said, there was not a lot of seating. The other guests were very boisterous, making conversations with family a challenge at times. When my food arrived, it was tidily plated and the steak strip was more like a steak slab! Very flavorful and done just so for a medium rare with a bit too much herbs, but that can be a preference rather than objective attribute. After steak came lemon cake and the cake was good, not too strong on the lemon but bright all the same and of a good, solid texture. Not the best atmosphere for low talkers like myself and crowded on a Wednesday night. The service was good and the food overall tasty and memorable.
Always look forward to coming here every time I’m visiting family. The Ribeye is probably the best I’ve ever had.
