Bidrage med feedbackVery friendly staff! You have many good opportunities for us. I really like their mapo tofu, honey black pepper beef, bamboo tips with pork and cold chicken in hot sauce! I'm so glad I tried these dishes from Grain House and they were so delicious! The best thing was that the dishes were not too salty. I didn't feel thirsty afterwards! Although they are far from me, I will definitely order more of them when I bless after good Chinese food! Thank you chefs for the good food!
Here on a Sunday evening as a party of 6. We were one of two parties here, it seems that this place is still usually active as a takeout/delivery. Upon entering we sat on the windows and the staff was very friendly, they served us water in red solo cups. There is a promotion just where you get a dish of free kicked dumplings or soup dumplings with a $30 din in purchase. We didn't know that, but we know, since we had ordered enough food. We have the spicy fish fillet in chili oil, Dan noodles, spicy and acid soup, stir roasted green beans, spicy hot pot with fat beef. General thoughts, the spicy and acid soup was a little more acidic than I'm usually used to, but it was filled with vegetables. The hot pot with fat beef was generously loaded with a variety of vegetables, although some of the vegetables either seemed a little overcooked or not in the best form (e.g. squishy broccoli). The star of the meal was probably the fish fillet in chili oil, this was also generously loaded with bean sprouts and cabbage. There was rice with all pasta dishes. Overall great experience with the staff. Food was decent for what you can get in the area. Another tip I picked up when you pay in cash will get you an additional discount from the bill!
I've been regular since the pandemic. Overall good and I'm always going for my convenience. But I want to leave my honest criticism. Spicy Wonton and the Mapo tofu are my favorites. Although, I feel like the way they are beats and the way they cook are easily inconsistent. Spicy Wonton sometimes come with really delicious top season, but sometimes it is easy with spicy oil only for $9. Mapo tofu is sometimes salty and tasty, but sometimes almost simple. Sometimes it is really big pieces of tofu and sometimes well cut. They put greens and onions, but I wish they could be more reasonable with what they put instead of putting one or two pieces. The amount of pork also varies! I have probably ordered the same menus about 10 times, and this is the patterns I noticed, and I hope it can change a bit without increasing the price that have been made since the pandemic. Otherwise, relatively expensive overall. Speaking of price, I think Grain House could add a reasonable part of the meat for Beef Chow Fun (glass noodles with beef). $15 after taxes with glass noodles and 3-4 pieces medium small flat beef tasted too expensive. I ordered it twice, but I would probably enjoy eating more if the price is $9.99 or $13 (before tax) with a reasonable part of beef as it is on the beef menu chow, not glass noodles only
Delicious food, fast delivery, incredibly kind staff. Grew up in Beijing, China and this is the most authentic Chinese food in NYC after China Blue closed due to the pandemic. Order directly through Mealkeyway to avoid high postmates Uber eats fees!!
Good Chinese restaurant outside China town. I took my college age daughter and her room mate to this place and we had a feast. Clean interior, easy to find. Food was great. Price was ok. Everything we had was tasty and the portions were good, too. Only pet peeves for me was that the food were served in plastic dishes. That made the food look cheap. Also, I prefer to eat food from non plastic dishes especially at a restaurant like this.
