Overall it 's a pretty good value diner style Italian place. Don 't expect haut cuisine but do expect that family style value. Overall, it 's a great spot and most visits have been pretty good. My complaint, which makes it not 4 stars, is the quality of the pasta sauce. Everything is 'marinara ' sauce but it 's not. Best I can tell is it 's the same sauce that goes on the pretty decent pizzas. Trouble is it 's pretty much just tomato sauce without any basil or other notes. A large dollop of this goes on any pasta dish and it simply spoils it as it 's too much like, well, condensed tomato sauce. It really deserves to be better marinara is not hard it 's rather simple. Meatballs are too dry as well cooked too far in advance I 'd say and not kept moist. Easy fixes though. Anyway I hope this comment gets read and addressed and I 'll be happy to return and return and upgrade the review. Too honest a place to let something like this spoil the whole.
