Bidrage med feedbackGreat food. Very cheap for the amount of food you get. Staff is great!!
We popped in *just* under the wire on a Friday night, and when we apologized the owners told us not to worry, they were happy to have us! First impression: This place was clean. The parking lot, the outdoor patio, the inside, the bathroom. CLEAN. We ordered two pulled pork plates, both with green beans and French fries. Smoked chicken, Brunswick stew, and peach cobbler. In all honesty, we got the chicken (for our dog) on the house, as well as the peach cobblers. The gesture was truly above and beyond- we would have happily paid for both- as they were both excellent. I grabbed a bite of the chicken before we gave it to the dog, and it was tender and smoky. Nice big chunks of white meat. The cobbler was warm and better than what I make at home!! I thought the pulled pork was very good. I had the mustard bbq sauce and my husband had the hot bbq sauce. They give you just the right amount to compliment the flavor of the meat, not hide it. (You sauce your meat) OK. Let 's chat real quick about green beans. They are a BBQ joint staple, and typically nothing to write home about. After the server brought our food, I tried one fry and one bite of green beans to see what needed salt. I immediately went to town on those green beans- they were SO GOOD. I do not know what that man does to them, I do know I was about to drink the pot likker in the bottom of that green bean cup. When the owner/chef came out I told him they were probably the best I 'd ever had, and he told me he gets that a lot, and I believe him. Fries were very good too! Crispy like I like them! My husband went into grab us some dessert. They have a selection of Blue Bell ice cream, milkshakes, brownies and cobbler. As he was walking in to order the owner came out with some peach cobbler for us! So kind!!! We had our dog with us and they told us we could eat outside with her, and it was such a nice evening, it was perfect. Their outdoor space really is nice. We have passed this place dozens of times, and I told my husband to stop in a few weeks ago on his way to Brevard with a buddy. They had dinner and really enjoyed it, so I knew I had to give it a go the next time I came passed. It was a solid decision. They do catering, and we are about to be into fried okra season! If you are in the area I recommend giving Smokey V 's a try!
Southern Hospitality and great tasting BBQ. The ow ers and staff really care about their customers and take pride in their food.
Food was great, hot and more than I could eat! Pulled pork sandwich and Brunswick stew were excellent! Nothing but Good ol’ southern Hospitality!
Great food, nice people.I had the chicken plate with Brunswick stew and mac cheese. Of the bbq places in the area, I'd say best chicken, 2nd best sauce, 2nd best stew, best mac cheese. But the real star is the meat anyway. And it was amazing! I also got to try the brisket and ribs. Best brisket I've ever had and the ribs were good.
