Pasta Americana - Lexington

Disappointing. Not from this area and not sure how long this place has been around but if you like Italian food this is not the place. We got the blackened shrimp and sausage pasta and the Parmesan chicken Mack and cheese with 2 caesar salads. The Caesar salads were basically mayonnaise and Romain lettuce with no hint of Parmesan cheese or anchovy; two bites and in the trash. The parm chicken and “signature mac ‘n cheese” was an uncut chicken breast with canned tomato sauce on top of the most watery Mac and cheese I have ever seen. Picture a 1/2 cup of milk with two melted slices of craft cheese in it. The blackened shrimp pasta was decent. The good thing I can say is the pasta was cooked well — not mushy and not too firm. Everything else was sub par in my opinion.

Huge servings make for a especially meal, brought to my door. Never had any bad seafood, undercooked pasta or shortage on sauce. Really good food every time.

The "Caesar salad" was a pile of iceberg, not romaine, lettuce with flavorless, old croutons. There was not even any dressing. The hoagie was old, the cheese had congealed, and the bread was soggy; and it just didnt taste good. The cheesecake shows cherries and cherry syrup on it. It did not come that way. The kids mac and cheese was edible for an adult but it had a kick to it so depending on the age of the child this might not be a good choice. Plus our driver was 20 minutes late which probably contributed to some of the hoagie issues but that doesnt change the taste. Door Dash only refunded $3.89 which is laughable.

The Parmesan Shrimp Pasta was delish!! How come in the pick its made with fettuccine. Whats up wit dat? It was really really good.

Meatball Hoagie was good just presented badly and my fries were not with it. Everything else was good.
