Bidrage med feedbackWe were very excited to try the Buttery but nothing was good. We waited for our entrees for 2 hours and all 6 of them were ice cold. Our steaks all had pats of butter on top of them but the steaks were so cold they didn't melt at all. All of our steaks were way under cooked. We sent them back and they returned one and a half minutes later still cold. At that point we were fed up and decided to send everything back and asked to see the manager. We were told he'd gone home for the night and the head server came. We barely got an apology and she said she'd take the entrees off the bill. We were still charged for the the appetizers and the drinks. There was no real offer to make things right. Very disappointed!
Food, service and décor were exquisite. We would not hesitate to return.
We always take new out-of-town houseguests to Sunday brunch. The management has changed since last Summer. This was our first Sunday Brunch since the menu change. We were pleasantly surprised. No longer the basket of muffins and Danish placed on the table, but Mimosas, **** Marys' or Champagne is still part of the meal. Now you have a choice of an Appetizer and then your Entrée. Some of the entrée favorites are still there, but there are a few new ones. The Appetizers made a big impression with our group. The cured seafood entrée was delicious and nicely presented. The Egg Salad crouton was an unexpected delight. We are so happy that The Buttery is still a main stay of downtown Lewes and that the new owners have breathed new life into the menu.
