Sotavent - l'Escala

Good food, lovely friendly service. Kids enjoyed lasagna pizzas adults enjoyed grilled fish, grilled baby squids, and salads.

You need to walk 5-7 min from the main beach towards the interior of l'Escala. So you don't have a nice sea view during the meal. So you only pay for the food. Hence good quality price value from the food perspective: Usual pattern at least in Costa Brava. They have Gluten Free pasta and pizza base. Also GF bread and beer. So they are very well-prepared for GF people. Much above average in Costa Brava. Good mix of local dishes (mussels, squid, fish, meat) and Italian (pizza, pasta). Good and familiar service.

We usually order pizza to go at Sotavent. They are very good, but more importantly the staff is great and take good care of their customers, there is nice terrace and their opening hiurs can accomodate with both early fining people (D, NL) as well as spanish people who have lunch an dinner much later.

Desde hace años que es uno de esos sitios en los que me siento como en casa. Un trato muy cercano y comida buenísima. Con opciones para los peques, que eso siempre hace que cualquier salida sea un éxito.
