Bidrage med feedbackThe place is a very small building, that would be very easy to miss from the outside. Inside it is like sitting in someone’s dining room, it’s very plain and close together. The menu was great with a sauce bar. We ordered the all you can eat hot pot. It was a value for money! The meat was nicely sliced thin but had a funny taste. A lot of the things came out frozen (prawns, meat, fish balls). However it was tasty and the broths were delicious. Unfortunately our 18month old didn’t enjoy the experience and cut ours short. Maybe next time we won’t bring him! Haha
Small restaurant but really nice food. Can't exactly remember what I ordered but it was spicy red chicken noodles. I don't really have Chinese food that much but now I think I will especially this place. Very tasty food.
If you want a genuine Chinese meal and a good Chinese hot pot this is the place to go, if it’s full of chinese people eating , you know it’s genuine, well worth a visit
Came here for some authentic Chinese food and so glad that we did. It’s a very unassuming place and like others have stated upon entering you have to walk down a hallway to th3 restaurant area. The menu is very extensive and I recommend you request for assistance from one of the ladies that work there to ensure you totally understand what your getting. Th3 main courses are massive. Enough to feed 2 people! The prawns are out of this world but please be advised there is a lot of peeling, but it’s worth it for the flavour. We also had a crab dish, but it’s a lot of work as literally it comes in the shell claws etc. We also had a beef fillet dish which supurb but one of the dishes we ordered which we thought was vegaterian actually contained minced pork, but the meat eaters devoured that. If you like your Chinese food westernised this is not the place for you. The service is great with unlimited rice and lots of authentic Chinese condiments sauces at hand. Th3 Munju choice is very, very extensive!
I went for an all you can eat Chinese hotpot with my friend. Both of us are students from Hong Kong. It's a small and clean restaurant with unlimited supply of kitchen paper towel (I am messy with hotpot so it's a definite plus). I love hotpots but the smell left on the clothes could be a bit disturbing. Interesting my clothes did not smell much this time. The all you can eat hotpot was about £17.5 per person. We each added £1.5 for coke with unlimited refills. There were a lot of meat, fishball and vegetable you can order and you can always ask for refills. All clean and decent. There was also seafood. The prawns were good but the crabs were just so so (I guess they had been frozen). If you dare, the internal organs don't freak you out, they were also very up to standard. There's also a condiments bar, simple but with all the essential ones for hotpot. We ordered two types broths, a plain (chicken) one and a Szechuan spicy one. The plain one was definitely too plain. The spicy one was ok but could be spicier. All in all it was a good experience. We went on a Sunday and there were not many people. My friend and I could have a good chat. We chose this one because of some very positive comment by other Chinese students in Leicester. All the other customers looked like Chinese students like us. You can also watch TV programmes from China in the restaurant. It's nice and I will definitely go again. I may have had too high expectations on the broth. Considering the price and quality of all the food, it's value for money and I can't complain. The service was also fine in my opinion we got everything we wanted. But don't expect them to be extremely hospitable. That's not the way small (family run) Chinese restaurants run. At one point the waitress/boss was having dinner at the next table but you can always ask for something.
