The Deer Park - Leeds

The restaurant provided poor service despite our timely reservation. We had to wait at the bar while our table was being cleaned, which should have been a quick task for a party of 2. Surprisingly, the restaurant was only half full. After a 15-minute wait, we were finally seated, but had to wait another 15 minutes before being able to place our order. Thankfully, the service improved after that.

My reservation was lost and the waitress accused me of not booking, showing very little interest. After waiting a long time for our food, when we inquired about dessert, the waitress did not ask if we wanted custard or something else with it. When we called her back, she stated that it would come with either custard or ice cream (as the menu did not specify). Her lack of attention was quite frustrating. Despite the good food and beautiful decor, the service was terrible. The waitress who served us on February 1st, 2022 at 7pm really needs to improve her performance. She needs a wake-up call to improve her service.

The Sunday dinner was underwhelming. The beef was overcooked and tough to chew. The Yorkshire puddings were large, but lacked any crisping and had very little gravy to accompany them. This made the dish quite dry, but adding more gravy helped improve it. The gravy itself had a bitter aftertaste. The staff were adequate, but seemed a bit unfriendly. Overall, it was not a great dining experience, as there are much better options for Sunday dinner elsewhere.

We were welcomed with a smile, we were shown to a comfortable table, we were served by a lovely waitress and the food and drink were great. An excellent evening.

They lost my booking and the waitress accused me not to have booked. she was very uninterested. it took a long time to get our food out when we asked about dessert (cross), she did not ask if we wanted to ecstard or something with him and just went away, so we cried her back and said it comes with ekstard orrr (the menu not specified) and she said it would be either ecstard or ice. now they will ask us what we want or want to decide for us and just bring everything out? they could not be disturbed honestly! eating was really good, the place is beautifully decorated etc. but the service was terrible. that waitress who worked on 01 feb 2022 around 19 clock really needs to get her act together. she needs a rocket to defeat her bum!
