Bidrage med feedbackAlways see Mark's cooking videos on social media. Everything always looks delicious. Finally got a chance to stop in on the way to a hockey tournament in Bethlehem Pa. Got the catfish sandwich that was on the specials list as well as the New England clam chowder. Best fish sandwich I ever had, absolutely delicious. The chowder was excellent too. While I waited I met Mark and some of the staff. Very nice gentleman. The staff were very friendly, well trained, extremely knowledgeable, and engaging. I was fed some sashimi and an oyster while I waited, along with some tips of places in Bethlehem. It doesn't get any fresher or delicious. I'm kicking myself for not getting here sooner and can't wait to go back! A truly epic experience!
I was completely blown away by the service and the seafood. A small store on a corner lot very unassuming and when you walk in WOW. TONS of different varieties of seafood, I could spend hours in here just looking at all the different types of food! I called to place an order which is ideal especially for special items 48 hours in advance . When I called to place my order (west coast oysters and uni , the fishmonger Mark got on the phone with me to get some more details about the uni! He gave me great advice on my recipes and how to best incorporate the uni into my pasta as well as how to best cook the garlic for the dish. I LOVE THAT!! Oysters were so amazing I got the same type in Boston earlier in the week and they were tiny compared to these! They cleaned and prepared the oysters for us which just makes me so happy because I love eating oysters without understanding how the heck to shuck or clean ! We will be coming back and bringing our family! I foresee a big Christmas Eve order (they had beautiful looking prawns and calamari .
Amazing. What a place! First time visit and I'm floored. You walk in and there's a maze of boutique style pastas they are beautiful. They even have a nice gluten free section. Check! Once you're through the pasta maze, you get to the fish. Now, you have to be prepared to spend $45 50 on a steak of halibut or tuna, but it's delicious. The fish monger filleted pieces of tuna and salmon for us to try exquisite service and product. We also got a tray of oysters. They chucked them right there, put on ice, added sauce, lemons, and out we went to sit on the patio to enjoy a seafood lunch/snack. Also treated ourselves to Swedish licorice yum! Will be back real soon.
The seafood is fresh. There are a lot of choices. The staff go out of their way to help you. The owner is really nice!
Not our first visit at this true Seafood Market, we wanted to share this experience with our daughter who was visiting from out of town. We picked great fresh seafood along with some other great picks, like GF pasta and their incredible Cole Slaw. So, what are you waiting for and get down to The Metropolitan Seafood Market.
